Unclear on the concept

I stopped at Best Buy today to mull over the purchase of an Apple TV.  They had none in stock and I was left with an unfulfilled desire to add to my home network.  In preparation for the possibility of that Apple TV, I picked up a wireless-N router from Netgear.  It was a decent price - 99 bucks - and coordinates nicely with my iMac.  I may be a geek but I do still have girly sensibilities, you know.

I remembered after the fact that the going-out-of-business CompUSA had poor cold guys standing by the road, holding signs that advertised 30-50% off.  I figured I would stop by to see if they had the same router.  They did.  For 104 dollars.  And that was the “sale” price.  Without that glorious discount, it was 149.

Now, to be fair, that is a discount off of the list price.  But how often does anything sell for list?  And this is supposed to be a liquidation sale?

On a “yay” note, I talked to Comcast today about my service and ended up with a nice deal and even nicer bandwidth:

Me likey.
